March 2023 MSAT Results Thread

Starting off this month's exam with a bang, right? NOT. This administration is incredibly harder than the previous three. What gives? Did dropping the PAR mean harder tests? If so, please, give us the PAR conditions back.

For context, I was averaging a 205-207. How the fuck did I drop 17-19 points from my last practice exam to the actual? I was not even nervous. I had rare m-tables earlier in my exam, which was something I was not expecting, and the ordering was just outrageous overall. I still have two more takes, so I'll be using them with intention, but my god, could the MSA please inform us when they plan to shift the difficulty? This is what should've been the main concern, not the PAR conditions.

@travis is correct in that this administration is much more difficult that previous admins. I averaged a 209 until yesterday yet still ended up with a fucking 188. I have one more take, so I'm not overly pissed, but I felt like my prep wasn't in line with the actual exam so I ended up squandering my second attempt.

truthfully, not too bad. i will agree that some parts of the test are harder on the actual than on the PRs, but it isn't anything completely unfamiliar. i think way too many people are banking on order consistency and are learning the hard way.

So, shit worked out for me here. I only averaged a 202 with a high of 205 but somehow ended up going 210 on the actual. I don't know, where the test may have played towards some people's weaknesses, it played towards my strengths.

Went great for me! First take was a 199 (-2). My errors were consistent but I still had major gains. I probably won't even retake. whew.

It was okay for me. I have to say, I'm surprised at the amount of errors in some of these reports. Y'all didn't want to slow down?

I felt like it went fine for me. It's my second take and I won't be doing my third. I started out with a 188 diagnostic and a 195 first take. I do think it was a little more shuffled than usual, but not anything out of the ordinary.

This test is incredibly hard and this administration was tough in particular. Make no mistake, people are a little outraged for a reason, and they're not wrong to be. I averaged a 220 before testing, and I ended up scoring 218. Of course, that's not far off or anything like that, but I haven't scored 218 since three months ago. From then on, I've scored nothing but 220s, bouncing around the 219 and 222 range. 

For those that end up taking this go round, kudos to you, and congratulations on whatever score you end up getting. This one's a toughie, and you're a trooper.

Second take and I'm out. I felt pretty horrible going into the exam but I ended up faring much better than I thought. I think if this is your first rodeo, you might have a tough time. This administration was a little unforgiving, so please take that into consideration if it's your first take. Use your additional takes.
